Tamper from New Braunfels, TX

February 26, 2007 · Filed Under Uncategorized

You are bidding on a beautiful 58mm espresso tamper with Rosewood handle and a flat stainless steel base.

The tamper weighs approximately 13.4 ounces and the height is approximately 3.5 inches tall.

What a steal. $24.99 + $5.00 shipping within the continental US.

I ordered it, but I don’t have it yet. I’ll post my impression when I have one to post.

UPDATE:  For the price, this is a great tamper.  It works beautifully.  It doesn’t look as nice as a Reg, but it’s a tool, for crying out loud.  It looks a whole lot better than my EPNW pro-tamp, but it’s also not as heavy-duty.

Definitely a cheap way to get a supply of tampers for a shop.  I’m still talking with the seller about convex base options, among other things.  It’s pretty much the same tamper you’ll see on Aabree as a generic rosewood tamper.  It’s a better piece of equipment than one would expect.

It doesn’t seem like the seller is the manufacturer, do you know who made it?

I agree, but I really don’t know. I’ll ask the seller.

[UPDATE] He says he doesn’t know, and that they’re made in China. Oh well. I’ll see how I like mine when it arrives. He’ll be having a “scratch and dent” sale soon.
