Intelligentsia trip to Nicaragua video

No, it’s not TX related, but it seems to be a bit undiscovered yet, so I thought I’d show it first to the TXCP readers. As the “owner” of the YouTube Coffee and Espresso group, how could I not?

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Local Roasters

February 6, 2007 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

Do you have a local roaster near you who is doing things right?  Big names aside, of course.  We have a roaster here, and while the single origins are pretty Okay, the espresso is just flat-out awful.

The coffee is usually none-too-fresh either.  The sad part is, they used to be a lot better.  It became about the money for them, and since they have their hooks into every single local shop here, it makes it quite difficult to even suggest change for the better, as they seem to be pretty comfortable spreading ignorance and misguidance as it is.

Okay, enough of the rant.  Tell us who your favorite local roasters are!
